I tested out them inside the house first, with the reciever very close, however when I took the camera's outside.
the signal quality going to the reciever was non existant, I tried over the next few days, never was able to get a clear and acceptable picture. I like the features of the product, but I was never able to get a reliable signal.
I ended up a few months later, finding the logitech wilife system, sold on amazon, and even though it cost alot more. it actually is a better system then PhoenixEX.
